Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival 2015

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association is proud to be the host of this year’s “Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival”. It is being held at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California.

Sonoma Raceway is an 11 turn 2.52 mile track nestled just off the bay, 35 miles north of San Francisco.

Over 350 historic race cars will compete during the weekend event.

This event brings us the first of its kind “The Gold Medallion Invitational” incorporating rules established by Steve Earle of General Racing into the event and will serve as the model for future events. It is a tribute to the restored cars and their elite car owners.

The lineup includes Sports & Touring Cars of the 1920’s to historic IMSA Trans Am GTO/SCCA cars of the 1990’s

Jaguar, was this year’s representing sponsor. At the Jaguar hospitality tent event fans were able to see the marque’s racing heritage. Jaguar even had free hot laps for race fans in one of their newest sports model ( with an experienced race driver).
