Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca

 

The Legendary Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca hosts the Continental Monterey Grand Prix Powered by Mazda. With this being the 4th race of 12 for the season. Due to the number of cars entered in all 4 classes the race cars are separated into two separate races with 2 classes in each race.

The Daytona Prototypes (DP) Consists of Corvette, Mazda and Honda Ligier body styles and power plants.  And the GTLM Series, brings on Corvettes, Fords, Porsches, BMW and Ferrari’s. 

The new Prototype Mazda Motorsports cars take the pole and P2, with the GTLM Series pole is held by Ferrari and the Ford GT in P2.

Checkered Flag!!  P: Oswaldo Negri Jr. and John Pew in the #60 Curb-Agajanian Honda HPD Ligier JS P2

Michael Shank Racing wins the race.  The GTLM series, Richard Westbrook & Ryan Brisco #67 Ford GT Chip Ganassi takes the teams 1st win.
