2015 Monterey Motorsports Reunion

Record setting temperatures and an all-time high in attendance were part of this year’s 2015 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.  With temperatures nearing the century mark the record crowd of over 65,000 got to see a great show of some of the most beautiful race cars in the world.  This year’s marque was the Shelby GT350 in honor of the 50th year of the Mustang.

Fifteen race groups comprised of a total of 550 automobiles were on hand to take on the iconic corkscrew.  One could feast their eyes on historic F1, F5000, Trans-Am, and pre-war automobiles.  If you did not see the car of your dreams, then it probably has never existed.

You could wander around the paddock and grab a autograph from some legendary drivers such as three time world champion F1 driver Sir Jackie Stewart, three time F5000 champion Brian Redman, and five time Rolex 24hr At Daytona winner Scott Pruett just to name a few.

The marque for the 2016 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will be BMW. It will celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the company and their involvement in automobile racing.  To see some of the finest German automobiles ever made, plan to be at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this coming August 18th through 24th.
