2016 Sonoma Historics Motorsports Festival
June 2-5, 2016
SVRA presents the 50th Anniversary of the Can-AM and Trans Am Series. Featuring Shelby’s, Camaro’s, Pontiacs, Corvettes and More.
This is SVRA’s 8th scheduled event for 2016. Sportscar Vintage Racing Association is one of the oldest organizations in vintage racing. Their motto is, “Some people collect art – We race it”
Over 375 Vintage Race Cars take on the 2.5 mile, 12 turn world renown road course. From pre WWI to modern1980s era Racing automobiles. There are Bugatti’s, Ferrari’s, Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Corvettes and much more. They practice, they qualify and they race.
Not only do these wonderful machines take to the track, but fans are more than welcome to visit and chat with car owners, walk around, take lots of photos. And learn the history of the vintage racing machines.
On Saturday night the CHP escorts a group of 50 cars from all classes to run to The Historic Town of Sonoma and a lap of the square are put on display.
